Meet Tobie Loomis
Tobie is a writer/director/producer and supports social justice initiatives. From 2004 to 2014 she co-chaired the Emmy Award winning Women in Film (WIF) PSA Production Program and the WIF International Committee.
In 2012, Tobie joined GlobalGirl Media (GGM) Los Angeles as mentor/executive producer for GGM’s award winning webisode series, Como Amar, How to Love, featured on PBS World.
Since 2012, she has been working as GGM’s Director of New Programs, developing and running their Chicago program.

What do you know for sure?
The only thing I know for sure is that peace and justice can only be realized through the daily practice of sharing love.
What inspires you?
Nature, acts of kindness, and children…especially my 6 year old niece Maria, who is full of joy and wonderment.
What scares you?
Apathy and Indifference
What is your first (or best) memory?
My first memory is as a young girl being outside laying on the grass and staring up at the clouds and thinking anything is possible. My best memory has to be giving birth to my daughter Cebe and and my son Apollo
